KNOWING THE HEAVENLY CREATURES

The corollary of space journey is to be acquainted with heavenly creatures because there are individual creatures that are also living in the heavens.

The pure Imams (Peace be upon them) in their statements discussed issues concerning the heavenly creatures that exist in the galaxies. The following narration is one of those narrations:

قال الإمام الصادق علیه السلام: قال أمير المؤمنين علیه السلام: «لهذه النجوم التي في السماء مدائن مثل المدائن التي في الأرض».

Imam al-Sadiq (Peace be upon him) said: the commander of the faithful (Peace be upon him) said: "The planets in the heaven are having cities like the cities in the earth.[1]

This narration is showing this reality of the abundant planets in the heaven, that there are heavenly creatures living inside it like humanbeing in the earth has built cities for themselves; it is having cities and building and so on.

ويقول أبو بصير في رواية أخرى: «سألته عن السماوات السبع.

فقال علیه السلام: سبع سماوات ليس منها سماء إلا وفيها خلق، وبينها وبين الأخرى خلق حتى ينتهي إلى السابعة.

قلت: والأرض.

قال: سبع منهن خمس فيهن خلق من خلق الربّ، واثنتان هواء ليس فيهما شيء».

In another narration Abu Baseer said: "I ask him about the seven heavens, he said: there is no any of it except there are creatures in it and between it and the other heaven there are creatures until it ends to the seventh heaven.

I said: how about the earth.

He said: it is seven, there are creatures among the creatures of Almighty Allah in five out of it, and there is nothing in the remaining two except air".[2]

The world mass media which always speak of development and perfection up till now has not possessed devices that are faster than the light and supposing they achieve such devices, what will they do in going to the globes which its distance with us is billions of years by light?

It is obvious that it shall need some billions of years. This in itself is another proof which shows that we must need power that is above material power in order to traverse to the farther spaces. These are the points which has been mentioned by the holy household of the holy Prophet (Peace be upon them) for the past centuries.
