What does “بحجابک الرومي” means in the other Dua e Ahad

Question of Aqai … from Al-Monji Data Base

It is mentioned in the other Dua e Ahd: “بحجابک الرومي

What is the significance of “بحجابک الرومي” in the other Dua e Ahad?

Does “بحجابک الرومي” is referred to the European hijab?

Answer:

The answer as it is clear that the Hijab is not referred to the women’s particular way of clothing (we will explain the meaning of Hijab in the answer of the next question) and neither روم is referred to Europe but it is referred to the Constantinople.

Anyone who has a little knowledge about the tafseer and narration knows that the wars between Iran and Rome, which are mentioned in the chapter Rome of Quran, the war was not amongst Iran and Europe otherwise the same mistake should made while translating the chapter Rome as Europe.

We shall explain the matter further:

The Roman Empire was made up of two parts.

  1. The Western Roman empire in which a part of Europe was also included, in the year 476 A.D. it was disintegrated, and the last emperor of the western Rome was over thrown by his own Berber commander .
  2. The Eastern Roman Empire, which fought wars with Iran and the Muslims, continued to rule much after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, it ended in the year 1453 A.D. and fell into the hands of the Ottoman Turks.

Since the Western Roman Empire fell long before the prophet hood of our Prophet Mohammad (SAWW), the wars fought amongst Iran and Rome at the time of the Prophet (SAWW) was actually between Iran and the Eastern Roman Empire not the Western Roman Empire, which includes a certain part of Europe.

During the year 602 to 628 A.D., there had been many wars amongst the Sassanian and the Byzantine Empire, which is Constantinople and Istanbul respectively, in which sometimes Iran and sometimes the Romans had won the battle. In the Quran where it has mentioned about the victory of Rome, it actually refers to the Byzantine Empire or the Eastern Roman Empire, which became victorious in Qafqaz, Syria and Egypt, and Allah (SWT) says («الم × غلبت الروم في أدني الأرض وهم من بعد غلبهم سيغلبون»). It refers to the battle fought amongst Iran and the Eastern Roman empire and the defeat of Rome and finally the victory of Rome and Byzantine (Constantinople, Istanbul) upon the Iranian Nation. Since the Western Roman Empire became extinct around one and a half century from the Prophet Hood and the revelation of the Holy Quran, there was no such battle about which the Quran will prophecies.

Considering the facts discussed, the verses and the narrations are mentioned in this context are referred to the Eastern Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire not the Western Roman Empire and the Europe. Therefore, (وبحجابک الرومي) does not mean the Hijab of Europe. Similarly, as we have mentioned before if (وبحجابک الرومي) is referred to the European Hijab then we should write the chapter Rome as the chapter Europe.

You will be fascinated to know that Allah (SWT) says («في ادني الأرض») that means the battle was fought on the nearest land and there is victory for the Romans because the Roman king accepted the Holy Prophets letter with respect while the Iranian king destroyed it.

Does it («في ادني الأرض») (nearest land) means Europe?
