THROUGH WHAT WAY DO WE STUDY SCIENCES

THROUGH WHAT WAY DO WE STUDY SCIENCES

To be acquainted with sciences and culture is a means of felicity and good luck; but we must learn that from the fountain head of the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) so that our heart is lighten with their luminous light and to abstain from those who has not taken their doctrine from the school of thought of the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them). Because if we give listening ears to them (other than the holy household of the Prophet) and make research on their doctrine, we shall be far away from the right path and as a result of following them, we shall be afflicted with dried desert and mirage without water, likewise we shall be afflicted with endless sea of words without meaning, deadly whirlpool of their statement and be pushed towards devastation.

Then that is why it is better from the beginning in order to know the authentic sciences and doctrine and to refer back to divine ambassadors who has taken their statements from the fountain head of revelation in order to benefit from their guidance and to give place for their orders and commandments in your heart; because they are the guiding path to divine sciences.

The holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) said to the commander of the faithful (peace be upon him):

It is through us the closest Angels were guided towards knowing Almighty Allah.[1]

From the past to this present day which there is continuation of occultation of the holy Imam, human beings has make use of one out of billion power of their brain while the remaining ones remain unused.[2]

From here this question come to the memory that: people who can not make use of the entire powers of the brain and they don’t have the power of knowing that, how could they make use of the billion power of their brain without referring and benefitting from the guidance of the flag bearer of the revelation in order to know the exalted sciences and Almighty Allah who has created the world?!

Then it is better to submit to the orders and the commandments of those who have witnessed the creation and don’t be deceived with the deceit of others.

Does Almighty Allah never say in the holy Qur’an!

{O you who have faith! Be wary of Allah, and be with the Truthful}.[3]

How is it possible according to this verse for a faithful person that is with the infallible ones to take and learn his doctrine from the other school of thought?!

Is there any coordination with this meaning? Is this the acceptance of the rank of guardianship and following of the school of thought of the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them)?!

Almighty Allah also said:

{Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledge to Allah}.[4]

Definitely, just as the holy Qur’an has said, it is only few faithful people who has remain in their covenant with Almighty Allah but others intentionally or unintentionally distanced and deviated from the right path, they were afflicted and fall into the hands of Satan, meanwhile it is very few that give due respect to the holy household of the Prophet and their commandments.

Is this the meaning of following the guidance of the holy Qur’an and the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them)? Are the holy household of the Prophet like others?  Why we did not put the hadith of two weighty things (Hadith Thaqalayn) into consideration and why we forget them?!

Therefore we must learn the doctrine and Islamic sciences from the holy Qur’an and through the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) likewise we should learn the truth and reality from the guide line they have given; because not only through analogical deduction and personal view we will not be able to attain sciences and reality rather we will be push towards bypath and we shall be wandering in wrong path and misguidance.

The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) in this respect said:

Whoever depends on personal view and analogical deduction in the way of knowing Almighty Allah, he is misguided and a lot of issues would be scattered before him.[5]

Therefore one will not be able to know Almighty Allah through personal view, analogical deduction and imagination, consequently the science and knowledge that comes through personal view and analogical deduction shall end up in vain and misguidance.

The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) said:

Probably a science may lead you to misguidance.[6]

Possibly a particular school of thought may also have sciences and reality but what will be the benefit if it will end up in misguidance?

Therefore those who is afflicted with self-centeredness and deem to be connected with essence and also deem that he didn’t need worship and supplication has not benefitted from sciences and culture.

Imam Saidq (peace be upon him) in this respect said:

Allah the Almighty and the Majesty shall not accept any act except with the act done with knowledge and there is no knowledge except with implementation; whoever have knowledge, his knowledge will lead him to implementation and whoever did not implement his knowledge has no knowledge; verily faith is obtained from the combination of both of it.[7]

Consequently leaving worship and other activity is not a testimony to have acquired science rather the sign of science and knowledge is a person’s act and behavior according to authentic science that he has learned.

Those who have reach the exalted rank of science and knowledge and radiated their mind with acquiring science always belittled themselves before the tremendousness and the Majesty of Almighty Allah and the holy household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) no mater the higher stages they have passed through and they always put forward their fault and shortcomings.

Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) said:

Almighty Allah has made the shortcoming and fault of the knowledgeable ones to be thanksgiving.[8]

Because the more they ascend in the rank of Gnosticism the more they know the greatness and tremendousness of Almighty Allah and likewise they see fault and shortcoming in themselves. Then it is better for those who see themselves to be connected with the essence to know themselves and should desist from self-conceit and self-centeredness.

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said:

Block the ways of self-conceit by knowing yourself.[9]

It is very astonishing that someone who has not know his self and soul and he is not informed of his body likewise he is not informed of his brain, blood and other items of his body, how is it possible for him to be acquainted with the exalted divine sciences and knowing the Essence of Almighty Allah the Creator of this world?!

The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) said:

I am astonished of someone who is ignorant of himself, how can he know his God?[10]

This type of people is mistaking for not differentiating between self-conceit and arrogance or self-centeredness and whoredom with self trained and self cognizant! And with all these they engaged themselves in guiding the creatures!

The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) said:

It astonishes that someone who has taken the responsibility of reforming people to be the most corrupt one.[11]

Almighty Allah in the holy Qur’an said:

{Will you bid others to piety and forget yourselves}.[12]

Then it is better for those types of people instead to pity others to go ahead to reform themselves.

Almighty Allah said:

{Take care of your own souls. He who strays cannot hurt you if you are guided}.[13]

The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) said:

O’ you mankind be careful of obedience to Almighty Allah and know those whom you will not pardon for their ignorance.[14]
