Mention a few supplications and authentic rituals of meeting Imam Mahdi (A.S.)

Answer:

The meetings that have been held with Imam Mahdi (A.S.) in the span of his Occultation can be divided into a few divisions on the basis of several topics:

1. Those meetings that resulted because of the necessity and outcome of dreadful situations for those who were lost in the desert, facing difficulties and suffering from incurable diseases.
2. The meetings that were a result of the holy brightness gained by the recitation of holy verses or supplications.
3.  These meetings were neither a result of necessity nor the recitation of Holy verses, but an outcome of following the laws of the Shari’ah and acting upon the will of the Imam (A.S.) giving these people an opportunity to present themselves to this great personality or this great personality himself meeting these people in person. Like the incident of the lock maker mentioned in the Book ‘Najm us Thaqib’ and some other books.
4. The meetings that are held between the Imam and his special companions who achieve the grade of this special honour, like Hazrat Khizr (A.S.) and Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) and a few among the common people like the incident of Halo mentioned in the books. These meetings also help fade away the feelings of loneliness from his highness (A.S.).

Looking at the three different types of meetings held, it is evident that the most recommended type of meeting for a common man among the three types mentioned above, is the one in which a man utilises the best and the most important way of presenting himself to the Imam (A.S.), and it is the way of attaining the approval of Imam (A.S.) and pleasing him.

It is notable that Imam e Asr (Ajjalallahu Ta’ala farajhu) guided us to the above mentioned way in some of the meetings.

In the meeting held with my grandfather his holiness Late Haaj Syed Mohammad Baqar Mujtahid Seestani, Hazrat (A.S.)asked my grandfather: ‘’Why do you put yourself in such difficulties to meet me, why don’t you become such that I come to meet you’’.

And He points to the corpse of a lady who did not leave her house for seven years for the sake of achieving what she desired.

The incident of his (my grandfather’s) meeting that was an outcome of the recitation of Ziyarat e Ashura for forty Fridays and every Friday in a different mosque is mentioned in several books so it need not be mentioned here.

Hence, it is possible to meet his highness Imam Mahdi (A.S.) in the state of necessity or by gaining a holy brightness from the recitation of supplications and holy verses, but the best way of being able to present oneself to him is that one should be willing to perform in a way that pleases the Imam (A.s.) and helps us to achieve such brightness that our Imam (A.s.) who is more affectionate and compassionate than our father, wishes to meet his depressed and distressed sons.
