FAMILIARITY OF THE ANIMALS

Now you should be attentive to some of the narrations that were reported in this respect:

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him and his family) has explained and gave glad tidings concerning the government of the leader of the time (May our souls be sacrifice for him) likewise the specialty of the honourable Imam including the wonderful events that shall take place during the period of reappearance of Imam, he has also talked about the important changes which shall occur in the universe during that time, meanwhile animal will not be left out of that changes.

فيقول صلی الله علیه وآله في خطبه له: «... وتُنزع حُمة كلّ دابّة حتي يدخل الوليد يده في فم الحنَش فلا يضرّه، وتلقى الوليدة الأسد فلا يضرّها، ويكون في الإبل كأنّه كلبها، ويكون الذئب في الغنم كأنّه كلبها، وتملأ الأرض من الإسلام، ويُسلب الكفّار ملكهم، ولا يكون الملك إلا لله وللإسلام، وتكون في الأرض كفاثور الفضّة تنبت نباتها كما كانت على عهد آدم، يجتمع النفر على القِثّاء فتشبعهم، ويجتمع النفر على الرُّمّانة فتشبعهم، ويكون الفرس بدُرَيْهمات».

The holy Prophet has said the following in one of his sermon: "…. The sting of the entire animals will be remove from it till your kids will enter the mouth of a snake without any harm, the lion will keep its neonate and it will not harm, the lion will be with camel as if it is their dog, and the wolf will be in the midst of sheep as if it is their dog; he will fill the earth with Islam and will seize the property of the unbelievers from them, there will be no any treasure except for Allah and Islam, the earth will be like tray of silver germinating its vegetation as it was during the time of Adam, many people will gather to eat one cucumber and they will be satisfy, many others will gather to eat one pomegranate and they will be satisfy while the prices of horse will cost some few dirham"[1]

You should be attentive to some important points in this narration concerning the reformation that will take place during the luminous period of reappearance of Imam:

1- Fierceness in fierce animals will be taken from them.

2- Fierce and wild animals like lion and wolf will become domestic animals while they will be moving within camel and sheep without any harm.

3- The wealth and the entire properties of the unbelievers (especially those who shall still remain as unbeliever) shall be seized from them.

4- There will be no existing government except that of Allah and only Islam will be the sovereignty during that time.

5- There will be much blessing in fruits that time to the extent one fruit like cucumber and pomegranate will satisfy many people.

6- There will be cheapness in prices of buying and selling to the extent a horse will be bought with few dirhams.

Base on this, the holy Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) in this narration has announced the Islamic government, the wonderful heavenly blessings, the economic development, and the expansion in agriculture, familiarity with fierce, stinging and biting animals…. as part of the souvenir of the luminous period of reappearance of Imam.

Familiarity with the wild animals and being in security from the fierce animals is part of the blessing that will occur during that period of delivery. These changes in animals shall be base on effect of manifestation of the power of guardianship bestowed to the great remainder of Allah's proof (May our souls be sacrifice for him), it also show the disposition of the great man among the existence that time.

It is not only familiarity with animals shall happen that day rather the land and the heavenly blessing will be ascending and descending respectively upon the people and again any sorts of changes, perfection and development in deferent fields shall be base on manifestation of power and guardianship of that great man.

Because we've already aware that what is meant by reappearance is not only the reappearance of the great man in terms of body and material rather what is meant by reappearance of the honourable Imam is to take over the power of guardianship and disposition in the entire world. With this reason by reappearance of the great man the disposition of the honourable Imam in the world of creation will be manifested and base on its effect the entire humanbeing shall witness the wonderful changes worldwide.

يقول الإمام الصادق علیه السلام: «ينتج الله تعالى في هذه الأمّة رجلاً منّي وأنا منه، يسوق الله تعالى به بركات السماوات والأرض، فينزل السماء قطرها، ويخرج الأرض بذرها، وتأمن وحوشها وسباعها، ويملأ الأرض قسطاً وعدلاً كما ملئت ظلماً وجوراً، ويقتل حتّى يقول الجاهل: لو كان هذا من ذرّيّة محمّد صلی الله علیه وآله لرحم». 

Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) said: "Almighty Allah will raise from this nation a man from me and I am from him, Allah will steer the blessing of the heaven and the earth through him, the heaven will descend its drops (rain) and the earth will ascend its seeds, people will be secured of its wild and predatory animals, he will fill the earth with justice and equity as it was filled with oppression and inequity, he will kill until the ignorant ones will say: he could had have mercy if he is from the descendant of the holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him and his family).[2]

 

There is an attractive expression in this narration from Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) concerning the leader of the time (May our souls be sacrifice for him), where he (Peace be upon him) said: a man from me and I am from him. This expression is very attractive as it explained the dignity gave by Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) to the holy leader of the time (May our souls be sacrifice for him) which is the very expression of the holy Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) in respect of Imam Hasan and Husayn (Peace be upon them).

The other points in this narration are as follows:

1- Ascending and descending of earthly and heavenly blessings respectively.

2- Abundant beneficial rain.

3- The expansion in meadow and the growth of vegetable which is sign of economic growth and expansion in agriculture.

4- Familiarity with wild and fierce animals.

5- The enormous of the world with justice and equity.

6- Killing of the enemies of the descendants of the flag bearer of revelation (Peace be upon them).

7- The statement of Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) at the conclusion of the narration "And he will kill until the ignorant ones will say….." prove that the complain will be from the oppositions and that is why they will say: if this person is from the linage of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him and his family) he would have had mercy on people.

From this statement it is understood that the speaker believe in the holy Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) and his mercifulness but didn't believe in the leadership of Imam of the time (May Almighty Allah hasten his relief) and in this respect they complained against the behavior of the great man which shows that the killing will occur upon those people.

We have presently treated the real issue and we will continue with familiarity with the wild animals that was clearly stated in the narration of the holy household of the holy Prophet (Peace be upon them).

Base on the narrations, there will be a kind of reformation in the digestive system of the pierce animals which shall stop them from consuming meat and consequently they would be made to be consuming vegetations.

With this explanation it is clear that sweat, fierceness and blood shedding will be taken away from the fierce animals and they will be satisfying their needs in terms of feeding through vegetations.

يقول الإمام الحسن المجتبى علیه السلام: «تصطلح في ملكه السباع».

Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (Peace be upon him) said: "The fierce animals shall live in peace between themselves during the government of Imam al-Mahdi (Peace be upon him)".

ويقول الإمام أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب علیه السلام: «اصطلحت السباع والبهائم».

The commander of the faithful (Peace be upon him) said: "The fierce animals and quadruped shall live in peace"

This issue is very hard and difficult to be tolerated by some individuals whose perspective and mind has been attached with the modern days, especially those who are not able to envisage better than what is existing, but it is simple for those who is able to envisage the future affairs of the world with insight because they knew the wonderful changes which shall occur in the earth. There will be wonderful effects that will be impacted on the carts and other development likewise other perfection which shall occured everyday upon the entire existence.

By looking into this reality, by which dimension does humanbeing possess the fortification of its determination and ability to obtain all his wishes even to have influence over the animals?!

During the day of wisdom and perfection people will be able to induce his determination upon the intellect of the animals just like the powerful sight of Sheikh Baha'i and other people like him who has changed copper into gold. Accepting this reality is very difficult if we try to compare the people of the time to come with the people of nowadays but we've already said that that day will be day of wisdom, perfection and that time will be full of human power and by concentrating to the whole explanations accepting such incidents will be very simple and easy.
